We need volunteers!
AARF is soley made up of dedicated volunteers who
donate their time and open their homes to needy
cats and dogs in the Triad.
You can help us rescue cats and dogs.
There are always more animals in need than
any rescue organization can help.
More volunteers means
more cat and dog lives that can be saved!
Here is how you can help:

Saturday Adoption Fairs
Hold a pet; pet a pet; talk with people; help fill
out adoption
forms; bring lemonade; and on and on...
Fundraisers
AARF holds various fund-raisers throughout the year -
Auctions,
Pet Washes, etc. Give your time; wash a pet
(sometimes better left to professionals); donate and/or
sell items for our Rummage Sales.

You can make a difference by opening your home to just
one homeless animal and by doing this you are giving
the gift of life!
The number of animals we can help is dependent upon
the number of foster homes available. Help stop the
suffering of these homeless animals today!
Why?
Choosing to be a foster parent is a serious undertaking.
It will change your routine and your own companion
animals will need to be okay with it.
Many people faced with homeless animals tell themselves:
"It's not my problem," "It's not my fault," "It's so sad, but there's nothing I can do." Well, fortunately, there is
something you can do without making a lifetime commitment.
The fulfillment and sense of purpose you receive in knowing
that you helped one more homeless animal find its way into a safe, happy home is overwhelming each time you successfully place an animal in need.
What is involved?
AARF will provide you with most of the supplies you’ll need
to make your foster friend feel right at home. All you do is provide food and a safe and secure home until a
permanent home is found.
AARF has many ways of finding homes for these fosters
like PetFinder.com postings and weekly Adoption Fairs
at 311 Harvey Street in Winston-Salem from 12 - 4 PM.
Foster parents are only expected to come twice a month
to show off their foster friend to potential adoptive families.
